The first attraction that most people think about when they think South Dakota is Mount Rushmore National Memorial. These 60-foot high faces of four iconic American Presidents, tower 500 feet up on the mountain side. Besides the obvious attraction of Mount Rushmore, South Dakota also offers hot springs, caves, buffalo herds, the Badlands, and Crazy Horse. In the tradition of beautiful carvings on the mountain side, when finished, Crazy Horse will be 641 feet long and 563 feet high. The monument will stand in honor of all American Indians.
