Virginia is steeped in history and you can explore some of this lesser known history by taking a self-guided tour through Colonial Journey Virginia's Northern Neck. Among other things on this tour, you will learn a little more about President George Washington's mother, Mary Ball, through the Mary Ball Museum. You will also get to visit Yeocomico Church, her childhood parish, and the George Washinton Birthplace. For the more adventurous traveler, dare to take the Capital Creepers Ghost Tour in Richmond, VA. The tour leads visitors through Richmond's oldest neiborhood, Shockoe Bottom, in search of restless spirits. Lastly, pay tribute to all of those that have served and died for our country by stopping at Arlington National Cemetary.
